This guide is based on my firsthand experience attending Roland-Garros in 2023, 2024, and 2025, combined with official details from the Roland-Garros 2027 ticketing portal. Whether you are planning your first trip to Paris or aiming for specific court seats, this guide gives you the practical playbook to navigate tickets, seating, lodging, and transit.

Tournament Schedule (Provisional 2027)

How and When to Buy Tickets

Public ticket sales are regulated by an official draw/ballot system:

Register with FFT: Create an account on the official ticketing portal.
Enter the Public Draw: Registration opens from December 3, 2026 to December 17, 2026 (Public Draw Details).
Ticket Order Limits:
- Maximum 4 tickets for Main Courts (May 23 – May 30).
- Maximum 15 tickets for Outside Courts / Opening Week.
Draw Notifications: Selected applicants receive an email assigned a 2-day purchase window (sales open at 10:00 AM CET).
Real Example (My Purchase Timeline):
- Registered for draw: December 3
- Selection email received: March 3
- Assigned purchase slot: March 19 (10:00 AM CET) – March 20
- Purchased: 2 x Suzanne-Lenglen tickets

Note: Earlier booking windows exist for Wheelchair Users (WCU), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and FFT Members (Official Information).

Tribunes & Sun/Shade Breakdown

The four sides of Philippe-Chatrier are named after the famous Four Musketeers:

Tribune Lacoste (South)
Tribune Borotra (West)
Tribune Brugnon (North)
Tribune Cochet (East)

Sun Exposure: Tribune Cochet has sun exposure all day long.
Shade Trajectory: Shade develops as the sun moves behind Tribune Lacoste (South) toward Tribune Borotra (West).
Ticket Numbering Logic: Stadium entry maps use one set of numbers (1–52) for entering the stadium from the concourse, and a localized count (1–33) for interior staircases/aisles inside the bowl. Your ticket displays Access (1st number) and Stairs (2nd number).
